Ray Signorello Jr. began his journey as winemaker and vineyard owner in the Napa Valley during the mid 1980's. Ray, born in San Francisco, California, moved to Vancouver, Canada where the Signorello family continues to maintain a home. Ray divides his time between Napa, San Francisco, Vancouver and business related travel. Ray's father, Ray Sr., initiated the vineyard project during the mid 1970's by purchasing the 100-acre estate located on the Silverado Trail in the beautiful Napa Valley. Ray Sr. worked side by side with Ray Jr., establishing the winery's reputation for excellence until his passing in the fall of 1998. – Description from dvoristanac

  • Signorello Cab 1998

    Snoothrank:

This is a pretty fat and tannic cab. Traditional flavors of anise, currant and plum predominate. Still a little green around the edges but I think that's about as good as we can hope for. Opened it December 2009 and I don't think more time in the bottle will help much. Read More

  • Signorello Cabernet Sauvignon Estate 2004

    Snoothrank:

This 2004 California Cabernet is distinct and expressive, rich and well balanced with a show-off finish of supple tannins. The mature colors of red, dark purple and garnet set the stage for aromas of spice, cocoa and vanilla bean that lead to deep, velvety flavors of black currant, kirsch and hints of cedar. The lush palate continues with surpri... Read More

  • Signorello Cab 2005

    Snoothrank:

With harvests of just 2.5 tonnes per acre - very low yields - this wine is very concentrated. Very mineral on the nose, leading to a lot of black fruit with great concentration. There's a touch of minerality throughout and some nice eucalyptus and mint. Lots of tannins on the finish. A great well priced wine. Read More
