Horrible - overpowering gasoline taste. Not even fit to cook with. First bottle was so bad, I thought it was corked, got a 2nd and nope, just plain old terrible wine.

Very full bodied, full flavored (cherries & oak). Was fantastic with my bolognese. The wine was good on the 2nd night after opening, too.
Binny's Tasting - $12/bottle Were told this wine is high in antioxidants. Can't really remember the taste...
My sister and I recently shared a bottle of La Cala at Strega, a great restaurant in Boston's North End - at the recommendation of our waiter. We both loved it!!

I am fond of Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva ...it squeaks in at about $13 a bottle.
Versatile, fruity, pairs well with many dishes. Hints of raspberry and strawberry could be a poor man's Pinot Noir.
