Since our small winery’s first vintage in 1991, our goal has been to create handcrafted, full-flavored wines that express the personality of the unique Sonoma County vineyards where they are grown. Fred first became known for Zinfandel from his father’s Alexander Valley vineyard, and now his careful hand with Pinot Noir from the Russian River and Sonoma County has quietly gained attention and a steady following. That same attention has made Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah that exemplify the bounty of Sonoma County vineyards. – Description from Dragac

  • Scherrer Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 2003

    Snoothrank:

First impression was of balance. Not overly tannic or fruity or jammy, just the right amount of everything - (a harmony of rounds and angles as Fred explained to us during one of our visits). This cab was perfect with our grilled sirloin/mashed taters. Read More

  • Scherrer Winery Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2004

    Snoothrank:

This is a fairly big Pinot with lots of dark fruit, smoke, just a hint of sweetness on the mid palate, and a very long finish. This is NOT your strawberry, bubble gum Pinot, not subtle but very flavorful. Read More
