  • Conde de San Cristobal Raices Ribera del Duero Reserva 2009

    Snoothrank:

Deeply rich and inviting aromas of vanilla, black currant and black cherry on the nose with sweet baking spice and a soft floral flourish. Expansive on the palate and bursting with refreshing acidity and flavors of dark chocolate throughout, this has fruit flavors of blackberry, black currant and black cherry on the palate with well integrated o... • Pedro Domecq Xa Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

    Snoothrank:

Also enjoyed at a restaurant in San Cristobal, had it with steak and a ridiculously hot habañero salsa verde. Nice nose of fresh blackberries and plums (it is an 06 after all), but a bit young in the mouth with a green/vegetal undertone and a fair bit of tannin. Overall its not bad, but at $11 not worth it, much better under $8. Read More

  • Pedro Domecq Calafia Vino Blanco 2005

    Snoothrank:

I had this in a restaurant in San Cristobal with basic Mexican fare. It offered a light, citrus and lychee nose followed by pear and some citrus in the mouth. It was crisp and dry, but the alcohol was not in balance, and the fruit was simply ok. For $5 its definitely drinkable, especially chilled, but dont expect too much. Read More
