River's Edge Winery, founded in 1998, specializes in the production of the highest quality pinot noir wines. Two estate vineyards, Black Oak and Elkton, located in the northern most part of the Umpqua Valley of Oregon are the primary sources for our wines. These two vineyards were planted in 1972 and are among the oldest in the state. Our wine making style emphasizes a low-tech, hands-on approach utilizing small batch fermentation, exclusively barrel aging and bottling without fining.The winery is located in the tiny river town of Elkton overlooking the Umpqua River. We welcome visitors for tours and tasting. Please take the virtual tour of our winery and vineyards and consider a future visit. The tasting room is open 11am to 5pm, daily in the summer and Thursday to Sunday the rest of the year.   • I love this little winery. The people are very down to earth, and generous. I love their 2007 barrell select Pinot Noir. It's absolutely my favorite Pinot Noir I've ever tasted.
