River Grove Winery is an award-wining winery in the long established, but little known appellation of Clarksburg, California. River Grove selects grapes grown in our large vineyards (Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah) to produce and bottle sparkling and still wine. Complete control permits the wine label to have the quality designation 'Estate Bottled'. Our winemaking is traditional, and our wines are made in relatively small batches. We cellar our wines very carefully, and when it is ready to bottle we use all possible means to ensure that you savor the wine as we intended it - with all the aroma, flavor and character that we strive to bring to our wines. Our white wines are made in the "New World" style, and emphasize the aromas, flavors and character of each variety of grape we grow in our vineyards. We use the most up-to-date vinting and bottling methods to ensure that our white wines will reach you with all of the freshness and flavor intact, and ready to be enjoyed. Read more »

  • I began my wine journey mining for hidden gems in little known regions along the east coast of the United States. • River Grove Syrah 2006

With ripe berry, cherry and spice, the 2006 River Grove Syrah is all about flavor-- bold, robust, and intense flavors. The acids, tannins, fruit and oak are well-balanced and linger on the palate. Possessing all of the texture and fullness of an unfiltered wine, this selection pairs well with spicy and piquant foods (like grilled meats, pizza an... Read More

  • We were talking the other day about the Norton grape and I had mentioned that there was a NOVA winery that had just won a double gold with theirs.
