Ricossa is a wine and grappa producer based in Piedmont, Italy. Lorenzo Ricossa built the Portacomarese distillery on the outskirts of Asti in the late 1800s. He worked closely with local growers to source grapes for his products, and capitalized on one of the region’s earliest railways by opening a lodge near the distillery to house business travelers. This soon became a central meeting place for industry professionals, who were welcomed like family. Today, the Ricossa traditions are upheld with wines produced from grapes sourced throughout Piedmont, still in close working relationships with top quality vineyards. The wines are traditional Piedmontese styles of Barolo, Gavi, Barbera d’Asti, Moscato d’Asti, Cortese and Casorzo.
