Rex Goliath

At age 70, I have had at least 50 yrs. of a glass of wine after my evening meals. Just recently, I noticed the Rex-Goliath Chardonnay on the shelf in our local grocery store liquor department (I live in a very small town). I decided to try it. WOW!! It's like what one would imagine drinking a glass of satin would be like. SMOOTH AS SATIN and OMG so very DELICIOUS. You have a new customer from now on. I don't know how long you've been in business, however, I hope you are in business for a very very long time to come. I will definitely pass on my find to all of my friends. – Description from SilverBo

  • Earlier this week North Bay Business Journal reporter Jeff Quackenbush talked ... ... the rooster label for Rex Goliath's 47 Pound Rooster, an early titan in what became a rather popular “critter label” movement. “With the critter brands, the shelves became cluttered with all kinds of different labels,” he said. “Now I've gone back to the cla... • We were visiting Hawaii from New Zealand where we have a great range of both New Zealand and Australia reds to chose from. My wife saw their merlot at the local supermarket on special and we decided to try some of the Californian wine. What an absolutely delightfully bottle of merlot, so soft and fruity and full of flavour, equally as good as a...

  • I came here to see if anybody else though the vine tasted carbonated and I see its common. I have bought 7 bottles of the Rex Goliath over the past month, I thought I found my new favorite budget wine. Does this mean the bottle is "corked" meaning air got in there? is it safe to drink like this?

  • Just had the same thing happen with a carbonated taste from a bottle of Merlot. I've also enjoyed this brand of wine without any problems before, this is disappointing to say the least. Kind of like grape soda. Yuck.

  • I have enjoyed Rex Goliath for several years, but recently poured a full bottle of Merlot down the drain because it was frothy and tasted odd. I thought it was a fluke. Tonight I opened another bottle only to have the same experience! What has happened to this wine?

  • Rex goliath merlot has been my staple for several years as a great table wine. The last two months my bottles have had carbonation. Little bubbles in my wine. At first I thought maybe the bottles were stored wrong at the mini market. However even my favorite wine stores have a soda pop texture. What has happened to my wine
