Perched high above Okanagan Lake, our winery is located among the rolling hills of Naramata Bench Road. Here we have the most inspiring views you could possibly imagine. Which is probably why we tend to look at things a little differently. Our engaging and, at times, offbeat approach gives a certain proud flair to everything we do. Not surprisingly, our wines consistently receive top honours at major wine competitions around the world. There’s no finer place to be greeted with a glass of great wine. Located on picturesque Naramata Bench Road, our winery offers a wine experience that’s a short detour from the expected. For starters, you’ll notice art throughout the winery. And it’s not the kind you’d typically expect to see. The best example of this is Frank the Baggage Handler. Here you can learn about our wines. Well-crafted and premium, each is styled in the sort of approachable, engaging manner you’d expect from us. If you’d like more information about our approach to winemaking, you can visit our section that’s called, surprisingly, “Our Winemaking.” Our Whites: Bantam 2007, Riesling 2008, Gewürztraminer 2008, Pinot Blanc 2008, Pinot Gris 2008. Our Reds: Cabernet Merlot Read more »

  • Red Rooster Winery Red Bordeaux Blend Okanagan Valley Vqa Cabernet-Merlot 2010

    Snoothrank:

This wine was rated 91 points by Wine Access - a reputed Canadian wine magazine. The nose is very oak-heavy on opening, but after waiting 30 minutes and using the Venturi, some cassis and blackcurrent becomes evident with oak much less prominent. On entry, there are hard, spicey tannins but good fruit. Some nutmeg, plum and blackberry on the p... Read More

  • Red Rooster Winery Pinot Blanc Okanagan Valley Vqa 2011

    Snoothrank:

This wine is perfect for food with bracing acidity and a clean white grape nose with hints of spice cake. It lacks the extraction of, say, a Blue Mountain, but then for immediate satisfaction this Red Rooster may well be the ticket. It is also more representative of BC wine from this grape. A very nice wine for sipping with friends on a summer ... Read More

  • Red Rooster Winery Pinot Blanc Okanagan Valley Vqa 2008

    Snoothrank:

Golden-yellow colour with light intensity. Candy, ripe red apple and citrus on the nose. Good balance, though slightly watery body. Pleasing fruit on the palate and a medium finish. Read More

  • Truett-Hurst Zinfandel Old Vine Red Rooster 2006

    Snoothrank:

This is one of the new vineyards (for us) that we visited during our annual trip to California. Excellent Zinfandel at a great price in case lots from the Truett-Hurst website. We liked it so much we ended up purchasing a second case after our return home. Read More

  • Would definitely be interested in hearing what people think are the best wineries, and wines, in the Okanagan. Hopefully with an explanation why. Have a good friend going for an extended stay, based in Kelowna, in a month or so, and it'd be nice to be able to offer some pointers. She and her husband drink a lot of New Zealand sauvignon blanc,... Read More

  • Everyone has a favorite "just for fun wine"--one that you drink because it just tastes good. These fun wines are great to fall back on for parties or just enjoying at the end of the day. I had a great "fun" wine this weekend from Debonne Vineyards (Madison, OH) , Razzberry Riesling. The Raspberry brought out the flavors of the Riesling nicely an... Read More
