Red Lily Vineyards is committed to a single goal—producing the finest tempranillo wine possible. Our focus on this varietal was born out of our love of Spanish wine and the lure of tempranillo’s brooding, earthy character. Red Lily Vineyards is located in the Applegate Valley near Medford, Oregon and tempranillo is the only wine we produce.

  • It's not often that I have a plan. Well, a detailed plan at least.. Some sort of a plan not being a requirement for those in this business. But a detailed plan, and over-arching theme for a visit to wine country can certainly come in handy.  This month’s, or rather last month’s theme was, surprisingly enough: Zinfandel. I say surprisingly becaus... Read More

  • While traveling through Napa Valley last month I noticed that all the Vineyards I visited had roses planted around their crops. They're planted and watched closely for any early signs of infestation on the land. They monitor the Roses closely and upon early signs of problems, protective measures are taken to make sure the grape vines receive a s... •  Since my queries of this nature are usually tagged to the end of other threads of (somehwat) related nature, I figured I'd start one of dedicated nature. Hopefully this'll be easier to search for and come back to in the future. Here's an offer from HDH in Chicago. Anything of particular interest, or of relatively good pricing? This offer seems a... • A thread on another category inspired me to look this one up and write it out, because it's from Ben Franklin.  Who was pretty smart, and woulda been a Snoother had he lived to these days of the internet.  Well before Mr. T. Jefferson went to Paris, Franklin already had a great collection of wine, over a thousand bottles (the biggest percentage ... Read More

  • We are thrilled to have a first hand report on the 2008 German vintage from our friend Justin Christoph. Justin's report on the Wet auctions, where the greatest German wines go for princely sums, gives us a great view into the inner working of the German auction market, as well as a sneak peak at the style and quality of the vintage, and so much... • I have been spoiled, living in the throes of one of the world's famous wine countries. It seems, I have become a California glutton of sorts... Don't get me wrong, I HAVE tasted wonderful wines out of the area, but that has been an infrequent experience at best.
