Read moreWhen I saw this bottle on sale at my local merchant I thought I was getting quite a bargain since I have had Ravens before and liked it quite a bit. But what a disappointment. There is minimal, if not any, aromas at all. Not from the time I opened the bottle till I poured the wine into my glass. There is no fruity taste which I look for in a Cab. When tasting the wine my buds are saying 'burnt rubber'. I don't know for sure but maybe this wine needs a little more time to age and may taste better. A dissapointment for me from Ravens Wood.    (hide)

  OK, so, I'm going to disagree. This wine is NOT lush, NOT concentrated, NOT big, &c. But, it has an asphalty nose that I love (admittedly in S. Rhones, but...) it has a balance of fruit suited to its tannins and acid, and I find it pleasant to sip, and a great Zin with food. So... Read moreOK, so, I'm going to disagree.   Ravenswood Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

  Very intense fruity aroma. Well structured with nice full body. Had it with soup for all things and it went very well. I could see this aging well, will likely pick more of it up.

  Ravenwood puts out some of the best wine at the best prices in my area. I enjoyed that Cab with beef braised in wine ( used a Chianti for that) and it was amazing.
