  • Very nice for the price. I like the Shiraz, Cabernet sauvignon, and sauvignon blanc best. Pinot noir is good. I would like to know their batch testing procedures and results for contaminants like arsenic and certain pesticides.

  • Quail Creek California Pinot Noir 2009

Yikes! Bought this wine at Whole Foods hoping that it was decent. Shouldn't have been fooled by the others I've purchased in this price range. Would've been better buying $3 Chuck. Bitter and awful. Read More

  • Quail Creek Shiraz 2011

This 2011 Syrah from Napa Valley is okay. Ruby color with a little rim variation. Fruit notes of blackberries, raspberries, and black cherries with a hint of pepper. It has a mid-finish on the palette with low acidity. An okay everyday table red wine. Best served chilled to 60 degrees, and served with a grilled pork chop dish. Read More

  • Quail Creek Cellars Merlot Marin County Quail Creek 2007

2006Has the requisite characteristics of Merlot, yet a slightly bitter, "cheap" aftertaste. Aerating did help it open up a bit, and a couple squares of dark chocolate brought out some more interesting notes of cocoa and plum, but I would much rather have Barefoot as my "everyday Merlot."
