  • Prince Michel Cabernet Franc 2010

For a Virginia cab franc, this is not bad. Not much on the nose, maybe a hint of red cherry. On the palate a bit on dimensional but there is some slightly watered down ripe red cherry and a touch of strawberry. There is none of the mustiness a lot of VA cab francs have, light on the tannins, medium light on acid and a medium finish. Read More

  • Prince Michel Chardonnay 2012

Fairly decent but not great Virginia chardonnay. Some lemon, green apple and a bit of pear. The acidity is on the medium side with a short finish. Nothing complex or layered but not a bad effort from the East Coast. Read More

  • Prince Michel Barrel Select Chardonnay Virginia 2010

Pretty darn good for Virginia chardonnay. Decent amount of creamy lemon, not overly oaked but there is some noticeable and low to medium acidity. The finish is short to medium in length. There are much better $20 Cali chards out there but for VA, worth the experience. Read More

  • I´ve read a lot lately on biodynamic wines and how the position of the moon and other things can affect the vines growth or even the wine tasting, mostly on phylosophical grounds believing that "Biodynamics takes organic farming practices and wraps them as broader conception of the farm / the vineyard as a coherent organism, where inputs and out...
