  • Raspay Primitivo Quiles 2004

    Snoothrank:

So velvety, luscious and comforting. The black cherry and blackberry flavors with dark chocolate and coffee are deep, but not overpowering. Plays nice with Mediterranean cuisine, roasts and spicy food. These bottles can handle long cellaring too. If you can possibly wait to drink it, that is. 100% Monastrell goodness. Read More

  • Primitivo Quiles Monastrell Alicante Cono 4 2008

    Snoothrank:

The "Cono 4" had an immediate nose that smelled of cake batter (?) but soon moved to ripe red cherry and spice. In the mouth it was dry with soft tannin, pleasant acidity rounded out with some bitterness, drawing out some sour cherry and some peppery notes. Nice medium-plus body with good balance that gave it a lightness and easiness to drink. Read More

Were I stuck on a desert ... Read More
