In 2003, Andrew Browne launched Precept Wine Brands. He re-joined his partner Dan Baty from Corus Brands (Columbia Winery, Covey Run, Alice White), hired a great team of three and together they sought out to revolutionize the wine industry. The company's business plan reached out to the everyday wine consumer, offering modestly priced, quality wines.
Out of the last 150 wineries to have been bonded in Washington, Precept was the first to focus completely on producing and selling wines for $15 or less. Since then, Precept has built a portfolio of quality value wines from Washington State, Oregon, Idaho and abroad that appeal to key consumer and trade audiences alike.
