Pininfarina Wine combines legendary Pininfarina design with exemplary international varietals sourced from the finest vineyards in the world, showcasing the most celebrated varietal of that region. With a new wine released every year, top winemakers will create the finest wines that are both innovative and respectful of their sense of origin. Mr. Paolo Pininfarina, President and CEO of Italian design powerhouse Pininfarina Extra, and Mr. Aaron Heck, co-owner of wine producer Heck Estates, have taken it upon themselves to assemble a sampling of the best wines from around the globe. Every year, a new wine from a different wine-growing region will be added to the brand's offerings. As regions are selected and incorporated into the portfolio, there will be one common thread to them all: the wine will be the best expression of the most celebrated varietal from each unique appellation. Experienced winemakers from each region will participate in the crafting of this singular voice of quality. The ultimate Read more »

  • Pininfarina Vino Rosso Napa Valley 2006

    Snoothrank:

64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 6% Malbec, 5% SyrahIntensely aromatic with noticeable wood being well buffered by spice notes, rich red fruit, plum and berry tones and floral accents. Juicy on entry with really polished tannins that slowly creep up on the palate but never break through the fresh, zesty red fruits that are... Read More

  • Pininfarina Red Blend Napa Valley Vino Rosso 2005

    Snoothrank:

Drank it pretty much straight from the bottle but over a period of about 2 hours. Started out with WAVES of vanilla from the oak, then settled into a nice cassis, then moved on to a more blueberry/cassis vibe. Pretty close to what the tasting notes say (I looked them up this morning, after drinking). Pretty smooth, but there is definitely some a... Read More

  • Pininfarina Red Blend Napa Valley Vino Rosso 2005

    Snoothrank:

Amazing balance with beautiful integration of tannin. I do not detect the strong herbal notes noted by the previous reviewer. Core is driven by dark fruit and wonderful earthy accents of graphite and leather. This is an outstanding food wine. The acidity and tannins suggest aging potential of at least 20 years. Gorgeous! balsamic and fairly oaky on the nose with some assertive green herbs and a nice streak of grafite, and leather nice mouthfeel, well balanced, good acids and nice tannins, a touch earthy and mineral with some oak up front leading to more of a black curranty mid-palate with a hint of jammy blackberry, nice finish with good length, nice and firm ...
