The total area of the domaine is 11 hectares, distributed in different parcels located in the districts of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, and, of course Meursault. All the vineyards were cultivated following organic agricultural practices from 1992 to 1997, at the end of this period the domaine became 100% biodynamic. – Description from Nerevar

  • Thought I'd start a topic to see what "different" wines people are drinking. I've been on a hunt to find wines made from lesser known grapes or from unusual areas. Here's one of each. This is a rose made from Cinsault, not too unusual right? Well this is from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Either they don't make very good wine in Lebanon or this bo... Read More

  • Continuing the French leitmotiv this weekend. This is a darned good wine.  For the life of me, I don't understand why more U.S. makers refuse to make Chardonnay wine that tastes more like this--light and refreshing--than the butter bombs that they seem to continually crank out.  OK, I know why, because people keep buying that stuff.  Sorry, but ... This wine exemplifies my position that U.S. producers are missing the boat when it comes to wines made from Chardonnay grapes. US$33.99 at the Wine Club in... Read More
