Koonunga Hill is a wine produced by Penfolds, one of Australia’s most famous wineries. The wine is named for the location of one of their Barossa Valley vineyards, first produced by winemaker Don Ditter in 1976 as a Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Today, Chief Winemaker is Peter Gago, and the range consists of the flagship blend as well as single varietal Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, a Cabernet/Merlot blend and Chardonnay.

    Snoothrank:

The fruit is fresh and the nose and palate are alive. Blackberry, dark cherry, blueberry with mocha, oak, vanillin from oak, good spice and pepper notes lead to a juicy medium bodied aftertaste that is slightly chewy and lingering. Well done - again. Drink now - Paul 88 points Read More
