Peltier Station Winery
The Schatz family has been growing grapes in the Lodi Appellation since the 1950's. They purchased a special vineyard where the winery is now located which is lined by a historic railroad spur where three packing shed were once located. In the early 1900’s these packing sheds were common stops for locomotives to load the famous Lodi grapes and ship them to wineries and home winemakers throughout the nation. Thus, the label Peltier Station emerged in honor of the local history and abounding railroads that helped build California.
Passion for growing grapes evolved into passion for creating great wines and many were crafted from the twelve varietals that are grown in their vineyards. The family’s Italian heritage also brought two unique wines that we share, Teroldego and Vermentino.
