Palmeri wines are created by Kerry and Daisy Damskey with wisdom and passion as an expression of their dedication to what they love. Partnering with such renown grapegrowers as Jan Krupp of Stagecoach Vineyards in Napa and Denny Van Ness of Van Ness Vineyards in Geyserville, Palmeri is ensured the choicest selection of fruit with which to begin Kerry's special alchemy. The name Palmeri comes from Quercus palmeri, a small and scrappy oak that grows in the mountain ranges that Kerry Damskey gravitates to when selecting ultra-premium grape growing land. The labels for Palmeri feature the boar, the bat and the fox, epressenting the diverse fauna that is found on our hillsides. Some even refer the boar as Mr. Palmeri! He, like the wine, seems to have a special charm of his own. Kerry Damskey and Daisy Damskey hail from Sonoma County and have been in the wine business for over 25 years, Kerry as a winemaker and winery consultant and Daisy as a specialist in public relations and event planning. – Description from milana

  • Cabernet Sauvignon: It’s one of the big daddies of the wine world, and the wines from California, in particular Napa Valley, can compete with the best, and have the price tags to prove it. We can lament the change that has occurred with the vast majority of Napa Cabernets over the past decade or two, or we can simply continue to look for quality... Read More

  • Palmeri Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard 2006

    Snoothrank:

Lightly aromatic with mineral and ash notes framing slow to emerge sweet slightly dried fruit tones. Theres a hint of wood here but its really unobtrusive. This is fairly subtle and yet subtly complex as well. Rich in the mouth with a muscular, tight feel to it. Theres plenty of freshness to the red, almost pomegranate toned fruit up front and... • Palmeri Cabernet/Syrah Napa Valley 2004

    Snoothrank:

Big slightly jammy black currant Cabernet nose with notes of soil, black pepper, and green, grassy herbs adding complexity. Nice and focused on entry with rich fresh fruit backed up by nice medicinal spice tones and some aromatic herbal elements in the mouth. This has nice cut on the palate with the syrah gaminess emerging on the backend adding ... Read More

  • Palmeri Syrah Napa Valley Stagecoach Vineyard 2005

    Snoothrank:

Smells peppery and beefy and faintly balsamic with floral top notes, gravelly dustiness and briary. Broad in the mouth with lots of soft black fruit. The tannins are firm but small scaled and the acidity supported but leaves the wine a bit soft across the palate. Theres a lot of fruit here, savory, lightly spicy and fruity as well with a hint o...
