Our wines are the greatest... blah, blah, blah, ...'cuz Doug Nalle and Andrew Nalle are genius winemakers... blah, blah, blah, ...and our growers are the smartest, most hard-working in the grape universe. You can drink our wines young, old and in between and they match perfectly with any and all foods. More sober notes follow on our Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.– Description from hinaualan
Super powerful and intense on the nose, with dusty, oily, briary, super-focused essence of Zin berry fruit aromas. This shows great intensity without weight on the palate in a high acid, transparent style that reveals deep, old vineyard character and p...

I like Bella, but not every one of their wines. They have a real cave, very cool, and some of the Zins are superlative.Talty, former winery of the year on Snooth, is worth a trip. Michael Talty and Clay Mauritson could not be more different in some ways, and their wines are also very different but excellent expressions of Zin. Clay seeks more... Read More
So my wife loves zins but we really like a velvety mouth feel with some good fruit. Right now our favorite is The Zin by Cosentino. If anyone has recommendations my wife is starting to sware off all other booze except this zin so help me out. We are open to other reds as well. Read More
Our friend, Outthere, has made us aware of the Historic Vineyard Society, and I, personally, have enjoyed reading about his experiences with the society, and his interactions with some of the producers who source from these vineyards. Yesterday, Mrs. Emark handed me an article entitled "The Battle for America's Oldest Vines" that she had clippe... Read More
Zinfandel, it’s no secret that I’ve carried on a long and intimate relationship with you. There is so much you have to offer. Sometimes you're a bit rough and tumble, edgy, even dangerous, while other times you’re coy or playful. But you’re always there for me, with joyous fruit, classic bramble notes and structure, allowing for early consumptio... Read More
Classic briar wood, and smoke top notes over a base of cherry fruit with a little supporting oak note. Spicy on entry, with juicy bright acids supporting a light yet powerful palate impression full of fresh sour cherry and raspberry fruit wrapped in briar with black cherry skin notes on the long finish. This is long and tense, with fine cut to ... Read More

Why Talty? Why not someone who makes more wines, who is more able to handle the vagaries? The answer is easy. I’m not really that interested in knowing what a winemaker can do with a whole bunch of grapes. I have seen many winemakers do just that and do it brilliantly. What I have not seen is a winemaker with the Quixotic zeal of Michael Talty t... Read More
