Mogen David Wine Co.
Mogen David is an American fortified wine with an ABV of 13-20%, and is the “pride of Westfield, New York.” Nicknamed “Mad Dog 20/20,” this is the quintessential “bum wine,” said to be as “majestic as the cascading waters of a drain pipe.” “Inexpensive” is another polite description for this beverage, which is available in Banana Red, Kiwi Lemon, Orange Jubilee, Strawberry Kiwi, Lightning Creek, Ruby Grapefruit, and the classic Red Grape flavors. The wines have the mouthfeel of a Persian cat, with a similarly sharp, agonizing, and flat-faced finish. Recommended pairings: foraged marshmallows cooked over an open flame garbage receptacle, dentist’s toothpaste, and proximity to potable water.– Description from Amanda Schuster
