When Jean-Remy Moet sold the House of Moet to his son Victor Moet and his son-in-law Pierre-Gabriel Chandon in 1833, the ensuing partnership formed Moet & Chandon.

Shortly after the new branding, in 1842, Moet & Chandon released its first vintage champagne, leading the way to even higher-quality champagne. In 1921, they produced their first prestige cuvée under the brand Read more »

  • Moet Hennessy is looking to sweeten the pot. The Champagne and cognac giant is sweet to release Delice, a semisweet sparkling wine, the first of November in Texas and Florida. • Dom Peri doesn't really do it for me, either.  Nothing made by Moet et Chandon has really wowed me, in France or here.  For less money, I'll take a P-J Belle Epoque.  Or Taittinger, or Billecart-Salmon, or a bunch of things.  For way less, Pierre Paillard (grower stuff) wowed me recently. Speaking of underwhelming wines, I had two bottles of Roa...
