Because we remember swim lessons and day camp and beach houses. Because we forget bad boyfriends, missed birthdays and lost bracelets. Because we like to eat, drink and laugh, but we hate to do the dishes afterwards. Because you have better hair, but I can karaoke. To celebrate all the reasons that bring us together. And because we think middle sisters sometimes deserve a little extra attention. This wine's for you. Share it with a sister soon. – Description from iskicm

  • We plan to buy a few bottles at several wineries but I'll leave the extras with my middle sister (she's just past 60 now) and her husband as a gift.  We'll do a few more wine tastings with them on this trip.  I'll try to post a few pictures as we go along if I can make it work with my iPhone.  Some pictures might be rotated 90 degrees though.  J... • Anyone have any experience?I've noticed Kelley mentioned among the best company in Oregon Pinot, popular with Somm's and the like. Being a Burgundy lover, I've mostly found CA Pinot painful (though I've found a few I like!), and Oregon Pinot quite a bit more elegant, but sometimes or most of the time more boring rather than painful (as I find wi... • There’s nothing quite like having wine friends. After all, our mutual topic of interest is a social lubricant. But there’s so much more to it, as Snooth’s recent blogger trip will attest. Earlier this month we had the opportunity to explore one of the country’s oldest and up-and-coming wine regions: Lodi, California. It still amazes me that a si... Read More

  • I once, a few years back, almost pulled the trigger on a real estate purchase in the hills back behind the Big Sur coastline. Was reminiscing on that today, and wondered why I never hear about wine from that area. Is it because I'm so far away and out of touch and there actually are barrels and barrels of wine being made there, or because the cu... Read More

We joked about which Sister we were on the bottle and of course she was the Sassy one in the middle. • V V - I don't know who F-I-L is but I know where Reston VA is.  I used to commute up there for about five years in the mid to late 1990's.  We were lucky to have chosen a house that was smack in the middle of possible offices of our company so as we changed programs/offices, it wasn't enough of a commute to require a relocation.  Anyway, yes the...
