Michel Lynch is a line of wines produced by Jean-Michel Cazes, current owner of Cinquième Cru (Fifth Growth) Château Lynch Bages, in Paulliac, France. Michel Lynch is named for the 18th century founder of the Lynch Bages estate, a pioneer in Bordeaux winemaking who, among many other accomplishments, innovated the de-stemming process that became standard in area viticulture. Michel Lynch is a brand created as affordable wines one can sip as they wait for their Ch. Lynch Bages to mature in the cellar. Grapes are still sourced from top quality Bordeaux vineyard sites, combining traditional methods with modern touches.
