Meyer Family Cellars
I love bottles that I can leave around for days. I had a glass of this every night for three days and it did not change, which I find impressive. Sweet and succulent, this late harvest zinfandel is great when you are already buzzed, but it's also terri...

As I sit here trying to come to some conclusion it occurs to me that perhaps I am going about this all wrong. I amafter all a wine snob. Yes, it’s true, I am biased and I know it. I am first and foremost a red wine drinkerso when I think of the best regions my thoughts automatically run towards things like Nebbiolo and Piedmont, PinotNoir and Bu... Read More
Like Zinfandel, Petite Sirah is primarily a California wine: the Golden State’s long, sunny growing seasons are necessary to ripen Petite Sirah’s substantial tannins and reveal its rich blackberry flavors. The wine’s structure, fruit and inky color make it an excellent blending partner for Zinfandel, red Rhône varieties and even Cabernet Sauvign... Read More
Being a cab lover I am hesitant to stray from what I like. On a recent occasion I had the opportunity to try a Zinfandel and to my amazement, it had some of the same attributes of the cabernets I love so well. I perused Snooth and stopped on a particular zin from Bogle vineyards. Gregory Dal Piaz gave it a nice rating and being a member of Snoot... Read More
I had to let this one open up for a bit. Very strong alcohol on the nose at first. After a while, really nice blackberries and blueberry sweetness came through medium body with some nice tannins. Pretty good wine. Read More
We celebrated my friend's 59th birthday at Paul Martin's restaurant in El:Segundo, Ca. A nice blueberry taste with a little spice. It went well with the prime rib. Read More
I love bottles that I can leave around for days. I had a glass of this every night for three days and it did not change, which I find impressive. Sweet and succulent, this late harvest zinfandel is great when you are already buzzed, but it's also terrific to enjoy with a nice cigar. Read More
Still could use a little bit of bottle age. This is aging like a Cabernet. The 4% of Petite Sirah gives it a nice teeth staining tannic blueberry backbone. Definitely great with any meat dish. Read More
Great pairing for chicken sausage. Just the right amount of oak without being obnoxious. I love the logo on the bottle that comes straight from Lowenbrau. Read More

The wife & I are making our first trip to Napa for a two day excursion. We have been doing a lot of research, including reading up on the previous forum posts, thanks Honda John for your informative essay!
