Mersea Island Vineyard is a family owned business committed to providing high quality English Wines, own made Beers, informative Vineyard Tours and suppers, Bed & Breakfast accommodation and weekly Holiday Lets. On site facilities include a large Marquee for corporate functions, wedding receptions etc. and Cafe. Mersea Island lies between the estuaries of the Blackwater and Colne rivers, about nine miles south of Colchester. The present Mersea Island Vineyard was established in 1985. Today there are about ten acres, under five grape varieties, producing some twenty thousand bottles each year. – Description from milana
