Melini Winery

Fairly plain chianti. Not objectionable, fairly smooth, but really not distinguished, either.

It is clear red a little brownish wine with a very nice taste of freshness with a long aftertaste of happiness :) We have it with local light fermented cheese and white bread. It was exactly what you could want for "hot"...

First (non fruit) wine I ever truly enjoyed. Perhaps it was the fact that I was in Tuscany (Florence) at the time. I am a wine-novice and cannot provide much more information.

Pretty good for an inexpensive Chianti, nice and smooth, no sharpness.

Good Sangiovese flavor - sour cherry, some leather, some wet earth. Nice acidity, easily complementing the tomato in the sauce. Some ripe tannin that adds, rather than detracts, from the enjoyment.

classic italy wine. Full body with Fruity aromas. Earthy wine and you would say "nicely balanced."
