  • Mcmanis Chardonnay River Junction 2011

This 2011 Chardonnay is a fruit forward style with little oily character and very rich. The nose is a nice green apple and slight honey combination. It has an above average amount of fruit and perfect acid balance. Very enjoyable/impressive-- My rating 91 Read More

  • Mcmanis Family Vineyards Pinot Noir San Joaquin County 2011

Lightly aromatic with some stewed cherry and strawberry notes dusted with light wood spice and a hint of white pepper. This turns a bit meaty with age showing decent aromatic complexity. The thin, incredibly high acid examples seemed better suited for use in the garage as a solvent than for use near a dinner table. On the other hand, many traditionalists seem fixated on moaning abou... • Mcmanis Jamie Lynn Vineyard California Barbera 2011

Spicy, balsamic pine note on the nose over a base of jammy raspberry fruit. This is light and bright in the mouth with really crisp, fresh acidity and a nice blend of gentle herbaceous floral notes. Fresh cran/raspberry fruit with a hint of toasty wood spice shows up on the back end. Simple and a bit easy, this shows nice freshness and lightness... Read More

  • Mcmanis California Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Really well done! Round and generous, showing hints of black and blue berries, black currant and dark cherry. Fairly full bodied and fresh, and the oak notes don't show up until the finish.91pts. Read More

  • Mcmanis Family Vineyards Petite Sirah California 2011

Just looking at the wine you know you're going to get a mouthful of fruit; dark, opaque and thick. The aromas blend notes of black berries, smoked spices and vanilla tinged oak. The palate echos those notes and finishes long and creamy. Outstanding effort!93pts. Read More
