McFadden Vineyard has been family owned and operated since 1970 in Potter Valley, where Guinness McFadden has been farming organically for 40 years. The hot days and cool nights of Potter Valley give our wines exceptional character and flavor; and meticulous care of the soil enables us to produce top quality grapes year after year. A vibrant natural ecosystem, which is essential to maintaining a healthy organic vineyard, is supported by the renowned Russian River and neighboring Mendocino National Forest. Thankfully, not much has changed here in pastoral Potter Valley in the past 50 years… it is truly a hidden gem. We began producing our wine in 2003 after many years selling our grapes to top wineries in the Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties. We are still a boutique winery producing fewer than 3,000 cases of quality wine. We hope you will try some of our wines, we know you will enjoy them! – Description from Dragac

  • Mcfadden Potter Valley Brut NV

    Snoothrank:

The 2012 Mendocino County Wine Competition gave this a Double Gold Medal and Virginie Boone of Wine Enthusiast Magazine made it an Editor's Pick for Best Year End Bubblies. I just put as much in my wine racks as I could get my hands on. Green apple and grapefruit, bright, lean, crisp, unapologetically French in style. Read More

  • Dashe Potter Valley Mcfadden Farms l'Enfant Terrible Zinfandel 2009

    Snoothrank:

Lush, fruit driven Sauvignon Blanc. Honeydew melon, pear, mango, and grapefruit flavors make this 2009 McFadden Farm Sauvignon Blanc so much easier to pair with food than the plethora of cat pee aroma and grass flavored SBs that litter the store shelves. Read More

  • Dashe Potter Valley Mcfadden Farms l'Enfant Terrible Zinfandel 2009

    Snoothrank:

Perfect Zinfandel flavors of brambly raspberry, herb, and black pepper but lighter in body. Not a giant jammy and oak monster, but a wonderful food friendly, very enjoyably drinkable cool climate grown Zinfandel. Read More

  • Dashe "Les Enfants Terribles" Mcfadden Farm Potter Valley More United States Zinfandel 2010

    Snoothrank:

Gorgeous nose here, this is all wild fruit, dried flowers, and nuanced fresh herbs that explode from the glass. A little softer on entry than expected, this soon fills the mouth with the aromas of the nose, wild red berried fruit, pine cones, a touch of toasted nuttiness, blue flowers, almost an herbs de Provence thing going on while the acidity... • Dry Riesling Mcfadden Farms Potter Valley 2008

    Snoothrank:

Pours a deep dark purple color. Lots of dark fruit scents such as prunes, plums and raisins along with some vanilla. Starts off with plenty of sweet plum and raisin flavors hitting the palate. In the middle there is more dark fruit and an undertone of some vanilla and dare I say chocolate? On the back end, more dark fruits with an underlying... Read More
