Mason Cellars is a family owned and operated winery founded in l993 by winemaker Randy Mason and his wife Megan. Randy has been crafting outstanding wines for more than 30 years in the Napa Valley. Mason has long been recognized by the wine industry as being one of the best sauvignon blanc producers in the country. With the creation of their first Mason Sauvignon Blanc in l996, Mason began to develop his own Sauvignon Blanc house – by adding another sauvignon blanc label – Pomelo, and this past year a new Mason Reserve Sauvignon Blanc. With the recent opening of their new tasting room in downtown Napa, Mason Cellars Oxbow Tasting Room, one can more readily sample the Mason collection of fine wines. To complete the wine list of Mason, they continue to feature their Mason Merlot and Mason Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to showcasing the Mason wines, come and enjoy the warm, casual atmosphere of their tasting room where Megan has gathered select paintings and specialty goods for their Mason Mercantile Read more »

  • Mason Cellars Pinot Grigio California Three Pears 2009

    Snoothrank:

Three Pears scores quickly because its not merely alcohol-flavored water, as many of these wines seem to be. Its not a face-full of pear flavor, thankfully. Its on the sweeter and heavier side for a pinot gris, but compared to other wines, its not sweet or heavy at all. . . http://wineguider.wordpress.com/2010/11/14/three-pears-pinot-gris-review/ Read More

  • Mason Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Lake County Pomelo 2009

    Snoothrank:

Sipping it for the first time, and its really nice. Lemon, lime, floral tastes, organic, juicy, natural, a bit complex, a little bit sweet, and even a little minerally . . . also a bit of that green grass taste that sauv. blancs deliver . . . but overall, I cant say enough good things about this white wine. Its not super clean or crisp, beca... Read More
