  • Thanks for that info, Joyce and D.  Have to include the Loire in my next ... Also check out the reds of Marc Bredif, extremely reasonable and very good.  I've had my share of the Cotat Sancerres and I'm not convinced I would search them out in particular, but I probably am less discriminating in my SB tastes, as long as they are bone dry, mine... • I'd try some of the lesser known producers of Chenin, too, although Huet ... (Cab Franc) from Chinon, by Marc Bredif the other day.  Probably $15-20 and really good.  A nice alternative to pinot with lighter meats, like roast chicken and game birds, or pork (which I don't actually like, but people pair it with pinot). • Visited this winery in the Loire River Valley. Beautiful facility. We just drank the Chinon Reserve Privee we bought. Not quite as rich tasting as Tuscan wines; however, it is mild and pleasant. If you are in the area, it is the only fine wine shop that we found right on the river road.
