  • Manischewitz Blackberry 2010

    Snoothrank:

Blackberry jam aroma; very sweet. I mix this with a cabernet savignon and merlot blended to taste...very yummy; especially on ice. Read More

  • Manischewitz Blackberry Ny

    Snoothrank:

This very smooth, sweet wine works best as an after-dinner or dessert wine or something you drink on its own, not really with a meal. It's too sweet for imbibing with either red meat or seafood. There is a hint of blackberry to the flavor which reminds me of summer, and picking blackberries, and blackberry pie. I often have this wine with sli... Read More

  • Manischewitz Blackberry 2010

    Snoothrank:

Strong blackberry flavor and jammy sweetness. Personally, I wouldn't drink it as a table wine, but thought it was excellent for marinating strawberries and other summer fruits and spooned over angel food cake. Light and refreshing when paired with freshly-squeezed orange juice over ice. Get creative! Read More

  • Manisch Concord

    Snoothrank:

I can't stand the dry stuff that most wine people like, so if you're one of them, you won't like this, but I doubt you'd even look at anything sweet or by Manischewitz anyway. I like the regular Manischewitz, but this extra heavy malaga is far better. If you like sweet kosher wine... Read More

Since wine features so prominently during this ritual Jewish feast, we thought we'd turn to a blogger to help expand our knowledge about kosher and kosher for Passover wines - beyond just Manischew... • I really have very limited experience with wine and until recently had only had riesling. A few months ago I had a glass of a sweet red wine at a dinner for work and loved it, but I was unable to get the name. I am looking for a budget-friendly sweet red wine. Any ideas? Read More

  • Manischewitz Blackberry 2010

    Snoothrank:

It smells just like blackberry jam, and is a great mixer with other wines. On its own, it's very sweet, but sometimes that's a good thing. Nice for a dessert wine. Read More
