Mac’s Creek Vineyards & Winery is family owned and operated by the McFarlands and is located one-half mile north of Lexington, Nebraska on U.S. Highway 21. The twelve-acre vineyard lies along the banks of the beautiful Spring Creek. Our first planting season was in the spring of 2000. Ten different types of grapes, including red and white varieties will be used to create our wines. The inspiration for Mac's Creek Vineyards Winery comes from a true love of family and community. Our family has lived in central Nebraska for well over one-hundred years. It is our hope to give back to the people of this area a business they can be proud of. It is the commitment of the McFarland family to produce quality Nebraska wines for all to share.

  • On and off with differing frequency mention is made on these boards of garnacha as a choice for certain palates, and in certain contexts. Most of the mention here is pretty generic, and doesn't get down to any level of detail.Would like to suggest we take up the subject of wines from this grape with better focus. Where is good, who makes the goo... Read More

  • As long as I've been wine tasting, I've encountered "volunteers'... those who pour for the winery, and get to learn the business, meet folks, and generally have a good time.  This has been going on for decades.  Now, it seems, the powers that be are cracking down on wineries for various crimes.  Evidently the use of volunteers is illegal.  Why t... • Hi everyone.  My wife Sandra and I have been into wine for the past few years and that's led to a few trips to Napa Valley and related areas in 2012 and 2013.  We enjoy all wines but reds are our favorites.  We hosted our first wine tasting party last night and it was a fun event - sixteen wine lovers trying different wines in a blind tasting.  ...
