The soils of our vineyards are stony and coarse textured and endure a climate of hot days and cool nights. Bodegas Luzon, with over 600 hectares of its own vineyards grows grape varieties namely: Monastrell, Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to provide the basis of our fine wines. After harvesting the vines by hand, we select the best grapes as part of our meticulous process to produce an extraordinary range of top quality wines. The tasting and classification by our Winemaker ensures the results we all desire. At Bodegas Luzon we strive to achieve the highest standards from the crops we harvest and we utilise the latest technological developments in processing our wines. Our winery uses the most modern systems that guarantee the quality and ensures complete traceability of the grapes from the vineyard through the vinification, fermentation, blending, ageing and subsequent bottling. – Description from Alejandro

Luzon on Snooth

  • Finca Luzon Luzon 2007

    Snoothrank:

This is a wonderful wine for the price. Very fruit forward with bright red lush fruits followed by tobacco and spice. This wine does not have a long finish but has a smooth velvety mouth feel and is very easy to drink. I am entirely impressed by this bottle at the $8 I bought it for and will buy more. Read More

  • Bodegas Luzon Mourvedre Blend Jumilla 2008

    Snoothrank:

Color is a dark ruby. Mild tannins and solid acids make this a well-balanced wine. I was expecting a wine with more roughness around the edges. It was powerful, yet quite smooth. Aromas of red cherry, black berry, and pepper. Flavors of ripe berries and plums dominate. The finish was long with a hint of licorice and spice. Read More

Sweet currant nose with some light hints of smoke, pepper and black berry. The palate is lightly sweet with notes of currant and dark berries with a finish that turns to hints of hazelnut. Read More

Still drinking great. I first tasted this vintage over a year ago and it still has some way to go. Lots of luscious dark berried fruits on the nose, with some tobacco and sweet spice. The Fruit follows through to the palate. Great, lingering finish Read More

  • Luzon Verde 2008

    Snoothrank:

Made in Spain with 100% Monastrell grapes, this organic wine took me by surprise. Very aromatic, deep dark jam and that lovely smell of tomato vines. Dense mouth feel, and bursting berries, licorice, and chocolate. At its price point, I will be buying a case of this. Read More
