Littorai Wines

(707) 823-9586 Sebastopol, CA 95472
United States

All of the process waste from winemaking is recycled through a constructed wetlands system and re-used for vineyard and property irrigation. The property where the winery is located is farmed biodynamically and using only organically certified materials. Construction of our own facility has been a goal of Littorai Wines since inception in 1993. We began farming biodynamically in 2001 and since that time it has been our objective to establish a self sustaining, integrated and diversified farm. This winery site presents a unique opportunity to tour a biodynamic farm and learn about this exceptional agricultural method which offers long term solutions to the future of farming. – Description from JelaDragoljevic

Friend picked us up at the airport, definitely beats the heck out of fighting the huge crowd at the rental car counters. Why don't they have a contiguous highway from the airport to hwy 101.So what's the first thing to do in win... Read More

  • Part of it may be the size of Sonoma Coast, and nowadays anything labeled as just Sonoma Coast tends to be rather generic and alcoholic. There are plenty of single vineyards/ producers that must be high quality...Ive started buying some Littorai, though they source from both SC and AV. Read More

  • So i am getting flooded with emails from various wineries updating on their Rose releases.   Every year is different, and I am interested in hearing what is looking good on the market, world-wide and local.  I enjoy Roses across the board:  CA seems to rank in my high numbers, but I'm sure that is a demographics thing.  I also love some French R... • Chardonnay & Cabernet, the old CA stalwarts...I can go explore as much as I want but it always feels like coming home to old friends when drinking these wines.I've come around on Chardonnay for its easy going, refreshing nature and good citrus and nutty taste, and when it has some crunchy acidity and judicious oak it's really enjoyable. Heitz ha... Read More

  • I am pretty much prejudiced towards red wines.  However, that does not mean that I drink them exclusively.  I do drink quite a bit of white wine.  Probably, because, like most Americans my age, we are encouraged to bias out protein input away from red meats.  The good news for me is that I do love seafood and chicken.  So, that is really not a s... • Actually, found some interesting comparisons of Anderson Valley v. Sonoma Coast v. RRV on Littorai's website. How do Anderson Valley Pinot Noirs compare to the Sonoma Coast? There is no easy response to this question since our wines are really driven by the personality of the site rather than regional characteristics. However, one can make a human... Read More
