All of the process waste from winemaking is recycled through a constructed wetlands system and re-used for vineyard and property irrigation. The property where the winery is located is farmed biodynamically and using only organically certified materials. Construction of our own facility has been a goal of Littorai Wines since inception in 1993. We began farming biodynamically in 2001 and since that time it has been our objective to establish a self sustaining, integrated and diversified farm. This winery site presents a unique opportunity to tour a biodynamic farm and learn about this exceptional agricultural method which offers long term solutions to the future of farming. – Description from JelaDragoljevic

  • Part of it may be the size of Sonoma Coast, and nowadays anything labeled as just Sonoma Coast tends to be rather generic and alcoholic. • So i am getting flooded with emails from various wineries updating on their Rose releases.   Every year is different, and I am interested in hearing what is looking good on the market, world-wide and local.  I enjoy Roses across the board:  CA seems to rank in my high numbers, but I'm sure that is a demographics thing.  I also love some French R... • I am pretty much prejudiced towards red wines.  However, that does not mean that I drink them exclusively.  I do drink quite a bit of white wine.  Probably, because, like most Americans my age, we are encouraged to bias out protein input away from red meats.  The good news for me is that I do love seafood and chicken.  So, that is really not a s... • Actually, found some interesting comparisons of Anderson Valley v. Sonoma Coast v. However, one can make a human... Read More

  • Pinot has been a much celebrated topic here on Snooth over the years I've participated, and it's obviously one of the more celebrated grapes in the wine world. It'll no doubt be a story line I plan on focusing on in years to come so I thought I'd start a thread, logging experiences. Sorry in advance, Greg T.Having said that, I've been mostly dis... • Carnivores and grillers, a few reasons to love Syrah: it’s a fantastic wine for pairing with any roasted meats, especially red meats like beef and lamb, as well as wild game. It is often peppery and sometimes smoky, with a roasted fruit and/or roasted meat flavor profile that makes it a fine accompaniment to anything barbecued or grilled (even, ... Read More
