  Nostril-tingling aroma with some nice leafy notes. A mellow but still full-bodied red that walks the lines nicely. Neither sour nor sweet, mostly dry, with a bit of oak and tea, a little tannin. I liked it, and nice at the price.

Read moreI am drinking this right now to accompany some Indian style meals based on various spicy simmer sauces containing either chicken, fish, or shrimp plus firm tofu and some green or yellow squash and brown rice. The chilled wine is dry, fresh and pleasant, somewhat floral in bouquet, very drinkable, and an excellent value at $5.99 in Astor's in NYC. Its regular price of 7.99 is still a bargain.    (hide)
