In 1992, Debbie and Randy Lewis established a small family winery with their son Dennis. Total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Syrah. We are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales and distribution, and we thrive on this challenge and the relationships we cultivate in the process. It is our continuing goal to create world class wines. – Description from iskicm

Lewis Cellars on Snooth

  • Lewis Cellars Chardonnay Napa Valley 2012

Very crisp wine. If you hate the oaky/buttery style, this is your thing. I might make a case for this wine being a bit over-acidic. Very subtle on the fruit flavorssome lemon, some stone fruit. A wine to enjoy for itself, but not up to the standards set previous years by this maker. Read More

  • I was wondering what sort of new topic I could start that would pair nicely with my previous posting 'Weekday Wines'; well here it is - Weekend Wines.  Sometimes I just have to stop and take a minute to pat myself on the back for my quick wit but alas, this isn't one of those times.  Anyway, why not talk about wines we enjoy on weekends?  These ... • Well, now we've really scared her awayMinky, GregT is one of the best ... ... ... Chardonnay that I like--Lewis Cellars.  Lewis produces Chardonnay bottlings from both Sonoma and Napa grapes, and they do not allow malolactic fermentation.  So, I find them to be much more lean than many California examples.  Greg, you should be able to find it... • Hi there!I'm very excited to learn about Snooth learning from all of you.  I have a real love for wine (and cheese!)- food in general.  Reds are my favorite- particularly Cabs, Cab Francs, Malbecs, Tempranillos....I've had to be very choosy when I drink them for a long while now because of migraines. In the summer I like whites.  I live in Atlant... • I love N. Rhone Syrah.  It's my favorite red wine in France.  But the acreage of the region is so small and the area that provide its best wines even smaller, that prices have hit the roof.  Sure, there are a few St. Josephs and Crozes-Hermitages that come in around $25, but those are either made for earlier drinking and a lot less thrilling wit... • Dunham Cellars Lewis Vineyard Merlot 2007

Sweet chocolate chip cookie and slightly herbaceous black plum aromas emerge on the nose followed by a profound mocha top note. This is a powerful wine, faceted, yet impressively taut in the mouth with mineral, espresso, and savory notes on entry that are followed by plummy, pie filling fruit on the palate. The savory notes turn spicy in the mo... Read More

  • Dunham Lewis Vineyard Estate Riesling 2012

Very aromatic grapefruit and passionfruit aromas greet the nose followed by floral notes with with hints of dusty minerals. Huge acids on entry gain a love edge of sweetness on the midpalate which reveals layers of sweet pea, lemon pith, and pineapple flavors that persist on the long, fresh finish. A really zesty blend of gentle sweetness and ... Read More
