We have an incomparable site in Saint-Hilaire/Saint Florent (south west of Saumur towards Gennes). Our vineyard looks over the House…from the hillside, our harvests and cellars offer a magnificent view of the château de Saumur and the Royal river: the Loire. The scene is set. Come and discover our 4 acts: * Act 1 : A short introduction to œnologie (in our wine school) * Act 2 : Discovery of the different stages of wine-making (from the press to the tanks) (in our cellars) * Act 3 : A 300m journey underground to learn about the traditional method (in our freestone cellars) * Act 4 : Comparative wine-tasting commented by a professional (in our cellar and shop) – Description from Dragac

Pretty big on entry with intense, juicy acids supporting rich apple, lemon cream and white peach flavors. The mousse is fairly fine and this is easy to drink with hints of ripeness and creaminess adding lush softness o... Read More

  • Langlois-Château Crémant de Loire 1912

The Loire has many really good sparkling wines to offer - the quality ones always go under the "cremant" description. Langlois is owned by champagne house Bollinger and has the know-how and terroir to make one of the best sparkling wines I know under 20 bucks. Creamy, yeasty with ripe apple aromas. It's not champagne, but it's pretty darn lovely. Read More
