How many of these were you drinking over in Italy, Fox?The non-Italians are mouth-watering, too. More Cellar Search ResultsWe've finished inventory and have turned up some more interesting bottles - at interesting prices.Click to view up-to-date in... • Perhaps we could use a place to share recent purchases...Here are some '12 Burlotto Langhe Nebbiolo, which came highly recommended from a trusted friend who just got back from a month in Italy. I'm not seeing many available in the States quite yet, but was happy to find these locally. Read More

  • If I were anywhere near New York on the 29th I'd be going to this event. Great wine, interesting winemakers, and lots of old posters, art nouveau or otherwise. Why is it I'd rather have one of them on my wall then a Flash banner ad from the Web?Price seems like more than a bargain, and the money goes to charity, too....   ... Here's your chance ... • La Chasse du Pape Côtes du Rhône Prestige 2008

    Snoothrank:

Had the 2007, enjoyed it. The 2008 is similar, a ruby color with fruity, floral nose. Black plum and raspberry on the front, earth and spice on the finish. For the price, 10-12 per bottle, its a solid vin du table that will serve you well. It's nothing unusual or extraordinary but is consistent and well structured. Read More

  • La Chasse du Pape Côtes du Rhône 2009

    Snoothrank:

Lovely palate, with notes of cherry and spice. A wine to drink now, at any time day or night. A definite 'go to' wine if doubt is brewing. Read More

  • La Chasse du Pape Côtes du Rhône Prestige 2007

    Snoothrank:

This is a decent and drinkable Cote du Rhone, but not remarkable, and without discernible character. Screw cap :( Read More

  • Gabriel Meffre Cotes du Rhone la Chasse du Pape 2007

    Snoothrank:

Not that the "Reserve" actually means anything, legally speaking, but the wine is a nice little informal bottle of CDR. Not my favorite, but balanced enough and with decent enough fruit concentration and spice. Read More

  • La Chasse du Pape Côtes du Rhône Prestige 2007

    Snoothrank:

Crushed strawberries on the nose, palate has darker fruit flavors, a bit of tannin, good structure, and a medium acidity. Very easy drinking. Read More
