Krondorf is a winery that was originally owned by pioneering Australian winemaking family the Dalgetys, then purchased by legendary Aussie winemakers Grant Burge and Ian Wilson in the late 1970s. Their innovative renovations and marketing strategies elevated the brand to huge success, and it became known for its high quality and elegant packaging. The company was purchased by Mildara wines in the 1980s, and although Wilson went in another direction, Burge continued his relationship with them. He recently purchased Krondorf back from Mildara, with the entire Burge family involved in production. The focus is to make consistently dependable top quality wines from Coonawarra, McClaren Vale and Barossa that are “true to the label” with each vintage.– Description from Amanda Schuster
