Read moreSphinx Ranch Gourmet Market will host the first ever free Scottsdale Wine & ... • Keeling-Schaefer • Kokopelli Winery & Bistro • Page Springs Cellars • Pillsbury Wine • Sonoita Vineyards In addition to participation from Sphinx’s wine partners, several other local food and craft businesses will be represented at the event as well, including Cerreta Candy Company, Kristy Alvarado Designs, among others. Participating wineries will sample each of the varietals that are carried at the market. Admission to the festival is free, while those who wish to enjoy tasting samples can do so for $6 or $10 for two people (which includes a commemorative wine glass and tasting tickets). All wines are available for in-store purchase, local and national delivery, or for inclusion in gift baskets.    (hide)

You talked me ... were available there: mainly Kokopelli, which is not the best. The best ones are generally priced at $25 and up. Javelina's Leap may be one of the best-known (and best quality), out of the Page Springs/Sedona area. But Callaghan's wines (Elgin area) are also excellent. I'll be back with more specifics. By the way, it's not easy to find the good Oregon wines in other states, especially Arizona. I had some wonderful Marechal Foch in Oregon but not only haven't I been able to find it here but even knowledgeable wine sellers have never heard of the grape. I can't think of the vintner right now (I think it was Eola, or something like that), because they went out of business. But, it's available online. Is anyone else familiar with Marechal Foch    (hide)
