  • Kirkland Signature Cotes du Rhone Villages 2016

    Snoothrank:

Very pretty wine, plumish in color and nicely pure. When first opened the syrah was front and center with lots of blue and black fruit finishing with some acid and some noticable tannin. With air the grenache stepped forward and offered some cherry with a soft finish. This is the third vintage of this wine I've drank and if you enjoy cotes du rh... Read More

  • Kirland Signature Pinot Noir Carneros 2014

    Snoothrank:

A bit simple but it is old world in style, tastes like pinot noir and drank nicely with the salmon I had for supper. Just ten bucks. :-) I'm inclined to buy a couple more. Read More

  • Kirkland Signature Rioja Reserva 2010

    Snoothrank:

Somewhat murky prune color. Berry nose. Bit of a hit of cherry on entry, but, thankfully, not cough syrupy. In fact, after the cherry hit, this is quite tart. A lot more tannin than I am accustomed to for a Rioja Tempranillo. Bone dry. Medium-bodied. A reasonable experience for $6.99, but, otherwise, not memorable. Read More

  • Kirkland Signature Rioja Reserva 2010

    Snoothrank:

Not your fathers Rioja. Brick red in the glass with lots of red fruit on the nose. Medium weight and fruit forward with good acidity finishing with light tannins to a really long fruity finish. Simple wine, reminds me of a Barbera. Read More

  • Kirkland Signature Cotes du Rhone Villages 2013

    Snoothrank:

Unbelievebaly good for the price. Highly complex with smooth finish. Gets better when allowed to breathe. Compares favorably with higher priced Rhone region offerings. Highly recommended. Read More

  • Kirkland Columbia Valley Merlot 2013

    Snoothrank:

The wine is a brooding ruby color in the glass with nice clarity. The nose is a pleasant combination of ripe plum, blackberry and leather with just a hint of dusty limestone, a classic CV merlot nose. The taste was a rush of warm ripe fruit intermingled with a bit of anise and baking spice which transitioned nicely to some notes of mocha and v... Read More
