One of the reasons why New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs have taken the world by storm. Delightful to the point of exuberance, this is a great wine for drinking alone of with lighter fare.

  • Bocron, your story just gets more interesting.Grenache is a great starter wine--not totally overwhelming, good fruit.  FYI, in Spain, Grenache is called "Garnacha."  So, if you are ever offered a Garnacha, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. If you will allow me, I'm afraid I'm going to try to correct your notion that dryness in a wine... • Just a quick hello. I am totally un-educated in the wine realm. As a matter of fact I never drank a glass until over age 40 and even then barely could finish it and would usually switch to a nice dark beer LOL.  Anyway about 2 years ago my good friend's husband decided he was going to show me what I was missing and every time we went out to dinn... • Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 2013

    Snoothrank:

An intensely perfumed wine with notes of white flowers, honey, white peach and soft meyer lemon notes. Not herbal/grassy. Very slight notes of acetone or cats pee. More of the same on the palate with good length and subtle minerality. Light and refreshing. I am not convinced that I like this vintage as much as previous vintages. Read More

  • Kim Crawford Chardonnay Marlborough Unoaked 2011

    Snoothrank:

Decent NZ unoaked chardonnay. Middle of the road with some nice citrus flavors, a little spice, a bit of creaminess and a decent finish. Not overly complex but a good QPR. Read More

  • Kim Crawford New Zealand Unoaked Chardonnay 2012

    Snoothrank:

The 2012 version of this wine no longer carries the Marlborough appellation as the older ones did. It just says East Coast. It is a blend of Hawke's Bay and Marlborough. The result is not a good one. This wine is a shadow of the previous wines. There is almost no fruit and the finish is short. Nice color and good acid balance though. My rating -... Read More
