  • Faiveley Mercurey 2009

    Snoothrank:

The Faiveley Mercurey is dark and inviting with rich strawberry jam and floral notes. The mouthfeel is smooth, balanced and full of cherry, strawberry and raspberry flavours. Very good Mercurey with excellent depth and a medium to long finish. Lacks the elegance and finesse of the better Cru but excellent all the same; PN fans stock up. 89 po... Read More

  • Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin la Combe Aux Moines Premiere Cru 2009

    Snoothrank:

This is sweet and fruity on the nose, but there are intensely sappy underlying notes along with plenty of sweetening wood spice and a nice pretty floral note. Rich and dense with a weighty feel reinforced by the oak here, but plenty of fresh, clean fruit and a nice bit of limestone underpinning it all. The finish shows off nice cherry pit fruit ... • Faiveley Bourgogne Blanc 2008

    Snoothrank:

This French Burgundy is pale yellow in the glass. On the nose, it's lemony with freshly cut grass aromas. In the mouth, its bright and crisp with juicy Meyer lemon and Asian pear flavors. Read More

  • Faiveley Montagny 2009

    Snoothrank:

Nutty oak, apple fruit and a touch of mango come together on the nose with some sharp mineral hints that add nice focus. Very poised up front, a wave of sweetness from the nutty oak adds volume in the mouth. This has a light caramel/toffee edge to it that many people will find mysteriously appealing. The core of fruit, apple and quince is rich a... Read More

  • Faiveley Montagny 2009

    Snoothrank:

Bright, tart, flowery, a little biscuity. In this instance, the flavors match well together and settle pretty well on the palate. Probably great with a winter fish stew. Read More
