If you're after middle-of-the-road, rather forgettable wine, look elsewhere. We're doing some pretty unconventional stuff at Imagery Estate Winery and we're not apologizing for it. We work with a daring palette of unusual varietals, surprising blends, and innovative farming techniques. Then we marry the wine with one-of-a-kind, world class art. Who says Petit Verdot is just for blending or that Pinot Meunier only belongs in sparkling? We'll mix Rhone and Bordeaux varietals to create some unexpected magic. Yes we're a little challenging to the status quo, and some of our neighbors can't figure out what we're trying to do, but there's never a dull moment around here. We follow our taste buds before we follow the rules and we're pretty sure that if you spend any time with us, you will broaden your palate too. – Description from JelaDragoljevic

  • Imagery Estate Winery Viognier Russian River Valley 2013

    Snoothrank:

Clear, very pale yellow in the glassvery close to white. Very floral, perfumey nose with the slightest hint of spice that I would associate with Gewurztraminer. Sure enough, lots of white stone fruit flavor on the tip of the tongue that morphs into a melon suggestion at the back. Also, a bit of spritz on the tip of the tongue. Good acid back... Read More

    Snoothrank:

I cannot recall a wine as pale in color as this one. I almost looks like water. Big nose of flowers and fruit. Fruit flavors of mango, pineapple, melon, lemon. Once I get past the fruit explosion, this is a very light bodied wine. Nice refreshing acid. Very refreshing summer sipper. Im going to be having grilled tuna with a fruit salsa, t... Read More

  • Imagery Estate Winery Lagrein Paso Robles 2011

    Snoothrank:

Like the 2010, dark black plum color. Fairly nondescript nosesome red fruit, some oily scent. Easy fruity entry. Fruit flavors of red plum, strawberry. Very subdued tannin. Light acid as from peach, without any sugar. Very short finish. Not a complex wine. Easy to drink, but not particularly memorable. Read More

  • Imagery Estate Winery Dragonsleaf Syrah Sonoma Mountain 2011

    Snoothrank:

Very pretty purple color in the glass. Fairly fruity noselots of berriesbut, also, some wood hints. Subdued fruit flavors on the tongueblueberry, red plum. Think not quite ripe fruit, but not sour, either. The wine seems to have a silky mouthfeel that is quite pleasant. An easy wine to drink. I like it. However, if youre looking for a sop... Read More

  • Fox, we are having guests, tonight, and I was thinking of offering that Brooks.  It will be a game time decision. Al, I enjoy all Keenan wines, and, in fact, as Fox has suggested, the Syrah is really not my favorite.  He is right about their Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.  They actually have two Merlot bottlings--Napa Valley and Carneros.  I pre... • Imagery Estate Winery Lagrein Paso Robles 2010

    Snoothrank:

Bluish purple in the glass. Some herbalness mixed with red fruit on the nose. Easy to drink medium-weight red with a bit of the afore-mentioned red (plum) fruit. Fairly tight on the back of the tongue/palate where tannin and acid are detected. Quite a short aftertaste. Read More
