Husch Vineyards is a small, family owned and operated winery. It is the oldest winery in the Anderson Valley appellation, located in Mendocino County (Northern California) just 2 1/2 hours north of San Francisco. Under the direction of 3rd generation family members Husch produces 21 different wines, of which 6 are distributed nationally. Small lots of special wines are available exclusively at our tasting room, a converted pony barn dating back to the late 1800's. Quality is the key word at Husch: in the vineyards, in our winemaking and in our friendly customer service. It all starts in the vineyard. Our wines are made from grapes grown on vineyards managed by the winery, allowing us to bring consistent, high-quality fruit to the bottle. Our winemaking team pays careful attention to the fruit as it comes off the vine at harvest. All grapes are hand-harvested. Using specific clonal selections and yeast strains allows us to consistently produce world-class estate bottled wines from vintage to vintage. Read more »

  • Husch Vineyards Pinot Noir Anderson Valley Reserve 2010

Fantastic Anderson Valley pinot. Starts off with a great nose of crushed rose petals and strawberry. Extremely well balanced with mouth watering acidity, bing cherry, cranberry juice, light fine grained tannins and a medium to long finish. Read More

  • Husch Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Anderson Valley Late Harvest Postre 2012

Really nice late harvest sauvignon blanc from Anderson Valley. Semi-sweet, rich but not cloying. Fresh apricot, honey and peach balanced nicely with a touch of spice. Excellent way to finish off a long day. Read More

  • We're heading back to (my favorite wine region) Russian River the first weekend in October and are looking for advice on what to do and what to expect.  We've been to RRV several times but only during the off season.  Is there anything special we should do at this time of year, and conversely, is there anything we should avoid? • Rosés come around just once a year. This is lamentable or not, depending on your opinion of them. With such a sudden influx, it’s imperative that I taste as many as possible as quickly as possible. This is the first round-up of rosés from the summer of 2012. You can expect another in several weeks, but these 40 wines, along with the dozen or so ... Read More

  • Husch Vin Gris of Pinot Noir Anderson Valley Ca 2011

Perfumey on the nose with a little cheesiness adding complexity to the cut cherry, bitter melon, chalk and wild herb aromas. Snappy in the mouth, this is smooth, supple and bright with a winning texture. Lovely rhubarb, cherry and raspberry flavors are clear and fresh on the palate, all backed up with hints of earth and a faint suggestion of bi... Read More
