At Hunt Country Vineyards, our two great passions are crafting outstanding Finger Lakes wines and sharing them with you. We first achieved a wide reputation as a premier producer of Ice Wine, supplying the United Nations and leading restaurants in New York City. Now in our 28th year of fine winemaking, our vineyards encompass 50 acres of high quality cool-climate grapes that we craft into classic European wines such as Pinot Gris, Riesling and Cabernet Franc, as well as several rare and distinctive wines such as our Valvin Muscat and Late Harvest Vignoles. Jonathan Hunt (right) is the sixth generation of Hunts to till the soil on our 170-acre farm, high on the western flank of beautiful Keuka Lake. Hunt Country Vineyards is a true farm winery, family-owned and -managed, and we craft our entire range of 20 wines from 100% New York State grapes. Please include a visit to our winery in your travel plans. We are open seven days a week year round and would love to have you. – Description from JasminaDragoljevic

  • Can anyone help me figure out the difference between the Dave Phinney (Orin Swift) Locations F1, F2 and F3 wines. I tried one that was listed as a 2011 vintage. I did not see the bottle and don't know which to look for. Do the 1, 2 and 3 correspond to vintage? Any clarification is appreciated.  Read More

  • I found your site when I was searching for information on the Arcadian Winery of the Finger Lakes. The reason, you ask?  I opened a bottle of pinot noir from this very estate for guests at a dinner party at our home, not realizing it was the only such bottle that my boyfriend owned, and that the winery no longer existed.  The wine was enjoyed by... Here's one of each. This is a rose made from Cinsault, not too unusual right? Well this is from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. Either they don't make very good wine in Lebanon or this bo... Read More

  • Just a quick posting on a tasting we did last week.  We've been celebrating our tenth anniversary, and I stockpiled 2001s.  Good thing it was a strong vintage in so many places.  Of course, the 2001 Gran Reservas from Rioja are, in some cases, just hitting the market and are terrific values.
