  • Hugues de Beauvignac Coteaux du Languedoc Picpoul-de-Pinet 2011

Some apply aromas and some hints of earthiness. Very light and refreshing on the palate. Some stone fruit flavors compete with some minerality. There is certainly nothing to object to, here. Similarly, it is not a terribly exciting wine. A good picnic wine, though. US$8.99 at Total Wines. Read More

  • My name is Phil. I am a new Chef fresh out of culinary school and IN LOVE with wine. However I don't know very much about wine and I am looking to learn as much as I can. As far as I have discovered so far I am usually a bigger fan of White Wines that are a nice balance of dry, sweet, and what i could describe as crisp tasting. I love Rieslings.... Read More

  • Cave de Pomérols Coteaux du Languedoc Picpoul-de-Pinet Hugues de Beauvignac 2009

Sophisticated yet tame French white, good QPR too. Beautifully integrated and balanced ripe fruit, slightly bitter herbs, acid, and minerals. Attacks with crisp mild acid and smooth ripe sour fruit (white grapefruit, sour apple, and a bit of lemon) followed by a pleasant patina of slick bitter herbs and mineral. Glycerin finish of the herbs and ... Read More
