Being a cab lover I am hesitant to stray from what I like. On a recent occasion I had the opportunity to try a Zinfandel and to my amazement, it had some of the same attributes of the cabernets I love so well. I perused Snooth and stopped on a particular zin from Bogle vineyards. Gregory Dal Piaz gave it a nice rating and being a member of Snoot... Read More

I write about wine because I love wine and while I know my palate sometimes strays outside of the mainstream, so be it. I know many other people share my tastes or... Read More

Sandy soil tone with fine herbal elements. A bit of burnt rubber and some dried citrus peel notes. This does smell a bit alcoholic though it has a nice black cherry jam note on the nose. Lots of fruit up front with red cherry, red currant and dried strawberry fruit. Some nice mineral notes offer contrast and cut on the palate of this rather larg... Read More
